There's something special about gathering far from home and still feeling like you're home. Over the past couple of weeks, the RSVPs for our Vancouver Community Dinner kept coming in. Grandparents, parents and little ones. Folks who haven't sat at the same table in years, and some who will be meeting for the first time.
The RSVP deadline has now passed, and we're happy to share that we have a full head count. More than 45 of us will be coming together to share a meal, catch up and remember that wherever we live, we're still ’Wuìk̓inux̌v.
To everyone who signed up: Ǧiànakaci for making time to be part of this. Watch your inbox for event details as the day gets closer. If anything changes with your group, please let us know so we can plan the food well.
If you missed the deadline this time, please don't feel left out. Community dinners are also happening in Katit 1 (our home village), Port Hardy and Campbell River, so keep an eye on our page for those.
