Jordan's Principle ensures that First Nations children and youth under the age of 19 can access the health, social, and educational products and services they need, without delay or denial of funding. If your child requires support, you can connect with a coordinator who can help determine what services may be available.

FNHA Counselling Support for First Nations Community Members
FreeMind Therapy offers counselling services for First Nations people living in British Columbia through funding provided by the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). These services are designed to support mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness and are available to eligible First Nations individuals across the province, including those living in remote communities.
Who Can Access This Service
Community members may be eligible if they:
- Are First Nations with a Status Number
- Live in British Columbia
- Are eligible for mental health benefits through FNHA
- FreeMind Therapy can assist with applying for FNHA coverage and will directly bill FNHA, meaning there is typically no cost to the client.
What Is Covered
Eligible individuals may receive up to 22 counselling sessions per year through FNHA funding. Counselling sessions are offered online or by phone, making services accessible to people living in both urban and rural communities.
Please note: FNHA does not cover missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, and clients may be responsible for those costs.
